Artist Bio

Katie Finger is a textile artist who creates abstract and improvisational quilts and banners. Drawn to non-traditional quilting practices, her current work explores themes of movement, redistribution of wealth, and life’s cycles. She primarily uses second hand textiles combined with natural fiber and hand dyed fabrics.  Her quilting is done by hand with visible knots and piecing to represent an artifact of her effort.
